The concept of "going steady" changed during the 1950s from a "committed" stage in courtship to a more loose interpretation: monogamous dating categorized by a feeling of "belonging" to one another. It was customary for the boy to give as a token his letter-man sweater, school ring or I.D. bracelet.
When we spotted the original engraved with the name 'Judy' we had to have it. We love the idea of personalizing this petite throw back with the initials of your children, your monogram, a date or anything you want to 'identify' and honor.
